You can use the test mode to see how the emails you send from Upflow appear and configure and optimize your organization before going live.
Understanding Test Mode
After your data synchronization is complete, your organization will enter Test Mode, which is indicated by a banner at the top of your screen:
Testing actions in test mode
Test mode, at the collection level, only applies to Emails. No emails are sent to customers in Test Mode, including both automated and invoicing emails. Manual email tests are sent to your email address instead of your customers. Your email editor looks like this:
If you create an alias and select it as the sender, the test email will be sent to the inbox associated with that alias.
If your Deliverability is not configured yet, you'll receive the test email from reminders@upflow-mail.com. However, if your DNS or SMTP is configured, you'll receive the test email from your own email address and domain. Refer to our dedicated article on deliverability options for more information.
Testing replies in test mode
While in test mode, and sending test emails as mentioned above, the replies's behavior will not be as expected.
Workflow Reply-to section
As you see in this dedicated article, and in your workflows, you can configure the default reply to go to a specific email address, regardless of the reminder's sender.
In test mode, when replying to a test email in your sendbox, you will see the default recipient will be your own address (or alias) and not the address you selected in the Reply-to. Once live, you will see the expected configuration.
Manage your replies in Upflow
As mentioned in our dedicated article, you can decide to manage your replies in Upflow.
However, in test mode, no reply can be imported into the customer's timeline, as there can only be test emails and not actual communication sent to the customer. Therefore, there's no "actual" reply to be imported.
Leave test mode
Once ready, you can leave test mode by clicking the "Go Live" button.
Note that only the Admins can go live.
